Membership Terms & Conditions
We want you to be happy with your membership. These terms apply to all members joining via
monthly Direct Debit, including pay-as-you-go members and those on
fixed-term packages (3, 6, 9, or 12 months).
1. Membership Start & Duration
- Your membership starts on the date shown in your agreement (in person) or in your welcome email (online or phone).
- Unless stated otherwise, memberships include a minimum six-month term.
- After this period, your membership continues automatically unless cancelled (see Section 5).
2. Session Access & Venue Use
- Members may attend sessions at any Stronger For Longer venue.
- If attending a venue other than your home venue, please inform the instructor of your name and home location.
- If you attend another venue more frequently over a three-month period, we may request a transfer and apply relevant fees.
3. Class Timetables
- Timetables are reviewed twice yearly in March and October.
- You will receive at least 30 days’ notice of permanent timetable changes.
- Temporary changes may occasionally occur.
- If sessions are unavailable for 20 out of 60 days within a 20-minute drive, you may be entitled to a refund.
4. Membership Fees
Joining Fee
A joining fee applies to all new memberships. If you cancel and later rejoin, this fee may be charged again.
Pro-Rata Payment
Your first payment may include a partial month’s fee and is usually collected within 15 working days.
Monthly Payments
Membership fees are paid in advance by Direct Debit and collected on the first working day of each month.
Missed Payments
- Failed payments will be notified by email.
- A £15 non-payment fee may apply.
- Collection agency charges (up to £30) may be added if applicable.
- Membership will be suspended until all balances are cleared.
Fee Changes
Pricing may be reviewed with at least one calendar month’s notice.
If fees rise by more than inflation plus 5% within six months, you may cancel with seven working days’ written notice.
5. Suspending, Cancelling or Transferring Your Membership
Suspending Membership
- Suspension is allowed for up to six full calendar months after the minimum term.
- Seven working days’ notice is required before month-end.
- Medical suspensions are permitted with evidence, up to 12 months.
Cancelling Membership
- Written notice must be given seven working days before month-end.
- Membership ends on the last day of that month.
- Notices received after 5:30 pm are treated as next working day.
Early Cancellation
- Medical inability to train (with proof)
- Relocation more than 20 minutes from any venue
- Redundancy (with proof)
Transferring Membership
Memberships cannot be transferred between individuals. Venue transfers are permitted, with new pricing applying from the following month.
6. When We May Cancel Your Membership
- Breach of these terms
- Health or safety risks to others
- Sharing membership access
- Violent, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour
7. Safety & Liability
We are not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings unless due to negligence.
All incidents must be reported immediately.
8. Your Personal Information
Data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy at
www.strongerforlonger.co.uk.
Please keep your personal details up to date.
9. Updates to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated with at least 30 days’ notice.
